Only the third game at "The Pit" this season and a big one for both teams. A loss by Toombs would all but eliminate them from playoff contention while a win gives them hope. A win by BC pretty much locks up a playoff birth and nothing worse than a 3 seed. A loss makes the last 2 weeks extremely crucial in regards to getting in.
The Bulldogs are Herdon-ish on offense. They will run 90% of the time. Sophomore Jamar Smith is their offense with over 1,000 yards rushing through 7 games, including a 300 yard night last week. Passing wise, they basically throw it to one guy 3-4 times a game.
Defensively, they're arguably the 2nd best defense BC will see this year. They have recorded 3 shutouts and held Bacon Co. to 7 points. A Bacon team that scored 26 on BC. They are led by DE Tomond Hammond who is a Division 1 recruit and also their receiving target on offense.
Toombs is similar to an old BC team. They run a handful of plays and want 3-4 yards a clip. It'll be important for BC not to fall behind early as Toombs can control the clock and rarely turns the ball over. BC's defense has to play better than it has in its last two outings and the offense must be able to find the big play against a really good Toombs defense.
