Bacon Co. (4-2;4-1) @ #9 BC (5-1;4-1)

Biggest home game of the season by far.  Both teams come in tied for second in the region and huge playoff implications on the line.

Bacon's two losses have come to Region 1-AAA leading Pierce Co., and at MCA.  The Red Raiders, from Alma, GA, have great speed across the board.

Offensively, they run a true triple option with arguably the best QB in the region.  He's a great runner and more than capable passer.  BC's best unit, the linebackers, will need to have a big game.  As a former defensive coordinator once said, "the fullback must go down!!"  Defensively, Bacon is really good on the back end.  The front 4 is not as strong but will face a banged up and undermanned BC offensive line.

Special teams will be an advantage for Bacon.  Their place kicker is good.  Last week, BC's kickoff coverage team was as bad as its been all year and didn't get much from the return game outside of a 46 yard punt return.  However, the punting game continues to be strong with the 2nd best punter in the area.

BC has only one real quality win so far.  Beating Bacon would be the best and most important win of the year.  Injuries have hit BC hard, especially on offense, and it will be interesting to see if the Cadets are able to move the ball on a consistent basis.  Especially with Bacon holding every play and the refs not calling it.

-Bacon Co. Coaches Show. BC preview starts at the 27:15 mark.
