BC Thoughts

Being an official is a thankless job. As a former basketball referee, I know I blew my fair share of calls. However, one of the first things you learn is, at the end of a close game, let the players play. That was a BS facemask call. Even if it did occur (which video evidence does not confirm) it did not change the outcome of the play and the flag should not have been thrown.

The flag was thrown, MCA capitalized and the Cadets are now 3-1 in the region, with the four remaining games against playoff-quality teams. BC will probably need to win at least 2 more games to get in.

We have to win next week against Brantley. Of the 4 games left, this is the most winnable. Their offense is dangerous, but their defense is awful. As long as we don't turn it over, I think we will be okay.

Summers needs more carries. He is the only RB we have that has the speed to get to the corner. Summers should have also been playing safety during that final drive.

Hunt can't throw, but if he rolls out, he is fast enough to tuck it and run.

Our OL depth was exposed last night. I hope King is able to come back soon.

Stroud handled the loss with class, taking responsibility for the playcalling and not blaming the officials.

Our special teams unit is the best in the state.

I hope to see everyone at Homecoming next week! You come home for Homecoming. No excuses.

Hut 2! Hut 2!

Good news!

Starting LG Thacker King, who was injured last Friday, has been upgraded from doubtful to probable.
