Odds to win the 2009 PPB Championship

Patrick Holland: 1/1
Anymouse: 7/2
Jack: 4/1
Snuffy: 4/1
Patrick McCarthy: 4/1
Rick: 5/1
Donnie:9/1
Shane: 10/1
Field (Joey, Andrew, Reardon, PLowe, Bunger,Schiv, Joe, Ryan, Hank, Ally): 5/1

I will take bets up until the conclusion of the Georgia/Ok. State Game.

The money must be in my hand by the end of that game.

Maximum bet per person is $10. Feel free to put it all on one person or 5 on yourself and 5 on Rick.

***Once you bet, the money is mine. I will not return any bets along with your winnings.***

Example: Rick puts 10 bucks on Shane at 10/1 odds. Shane wins. Rick will receive ten times the amount of his original bet. He will receive 100 dollars.

***Last Chance Loser Special*** (in honor of Shane Murray)
$5 maximum bet. You can only pick one and you cannot bet on yourself. Going off at 4/1. Pushes= losses.
Example:
Rick bets 5 on Murray to come in last, and Murray comes in dead last= Rick receives 20 bucks.

***Original Special***
$5 maximum bet. You can only bet on yourself. Now going off at an unthinkable 4/1.
Rick puts 5 on himself and wins. He will receive 20 bucks.

Then don't bet. If you don't like making money then that's fine.

Be on the lookout for one more special before the season starts!

Another thing that I dont really understand...

"If you put 10 bucks on the field and Ally runs away with it, then you will receive 45 bucks at the conclusion of the season."

Would you receive $54? (5-1 odds * $10 = $50 + $10 ^original bet^ = $60 - $6 ^your 10% pinch^.)

See. $10 is the maximum for anyone to bet.

Betting is about mind games, Murray. I am hoping people put money on themselves. And I get that only Pat would benefit.

And no you would receive $45 the way I am doing it. Ally is 5/1. You put 10 bucks in the pot. She wins. 5 times 10 is 50 ***total bet/winnings***. I take 10% of the 50= 5 bucks. You receive 45.

Also, I am not being a smartass, but you don't have to bet.

I really wasn't trying to be vague. And I did get confused. I didn't think it out. I really wasn't try to screw anyone. I thought this would make things more interesting.

You can only bet on yourself on the special so Pat would get 3/1 if he bet on himself.

I was not at all trying to call anyone out. Honest to God. I just think you could run into problems with this because you haven't thought things all the way through.

"The incentive to bet on Pat at 1/1 is that you can win money, smart ass. "

You still never answered the question. With this would you get paid out $18 or $9? That is the whole point of the comments. You have a paragraph that says two completely different things.

"So if you put 10 bucks on Pat Holland and he wins, then you will receive 18 bucks at the conclusion of the season.(***Implies you get your original bet back***)

If you put 10 bucks on the field and Ally runs away with it, then you will receive 45 bucks at the conclusion of the season.(***Implies you dont get your original bet back***)"

My day at the office was just fine in fact.

What if I bet on Stick and he selects USC giving up 35 to Ohio State?

"I know you weren't the one who got Penny in trouble...When I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong."

Or at least I change/delete stuff.

And while Murray was responsible for clearing up most of the confusion, that was absolutely not his intention.

If people actually bet at the beginning of the season, I am thinking about setting my own line for the USC/OSU game and putting a $20 max on it. Bets would be -110.

The USC-Ohio St game is setting up perfectly for easy money. USC's QB situation is up in the air, the game is in Columbus, Pryor is supposed to be the shit, USC's defense isn't supposed to be as good. The Men of Troy will still be favored but the line will be a lot closer than it should be. Might as well just take me to jail now for stealing money.

I still don't get it. What odds am I locked into if I bet on myself with my first $10?

You have to say original, special, or last chance loser when you come place your bet at the window. That will determine what odds you get.

if i bet on the field, is that an umbrella term which would encompass everyone in the field...so if anyone wins from the field i would win money...or do i have to pick a certain individual from the field?

Picking the field to win includes everyone in the field.

For the last place loser special, it's not the same way, which is the case on many gambling websites.
