BC Playoff Scenarios

With 2 weeks left in the regular season, Bradwell and Savannah High have been eliminated from playoff contention. Johnson has Camden this week so they will fall into this category come Friday. Camden will be the 1 seed. After that, 5 teams are fighting for 3 spots. Beach upsetting Groves this past Saturday made things more intersting for everyone, including BC.

Region Records:
Camden 6-0
Benedictine 4-2
Windsor Forest 4-2
Beach 3-3
Groves 3-3
Jenkins 3-4
Johnson 3-4
Savannah High 2-5
Bradwell 1-6

Oct. 28 games:
- Johnson @ Camden
- Windsor vs. Savannah High (Thurs.)
- Groves @ Bradwell
- BC vs. Beach

Nov. 4 games:
- Beach @ Camden
- Windsor vs. Jenkins
- BC @ Groves (Thurs.)

All of the following assumes Groves beats Bradwell this week, and Camden beats Johnson and Beach:

If BC beats Beach, BC will clinch a state playoff birth.

If BC beats Beach and Groves, the Cadets would clinch the 2 seed and host a state playoff game.

If BC beats Beach and loses to Groves, the Windsor/Jenkins game comes into play. A Windsor win would mean BC would then be the 4. If Jenkins won, there would be a 3-way tie between BC, Groves, and Windsor, with BC beating WF, WF beating Groves, and Groves beating BC. I don't know what the tie-breaker here is.

If BC loses to Beach and beats Groves, BC is in the playoffs and would be the 3 seed with a Windsor win over Jenkins, or would be the 2 if Jenkins beats Windsor.

If BC loses to both Beach and Groves, BC would miss the playoffs. Even if Windsor lost to Savannah High and Jenkins there would be a 4-way tie at 4-4 between BC, Windsor, Jenkins, and Beach. Beach would get in because of thier wins over BC and Jenkins, and Jenkins would get in with their wins over BC and Windsor.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Windsor clinches a playoff spot with a win over Savannah High or Jenkins.
- Groves clinches a playoff spot with wins over Bradwell and BC, or, a win over Bradwell combined with a BC win over Beach.
- Jenkins clinches a playoff birth with a win over Windsor and BC losing its final 2 games as well as Windsor losing to Savannah High.
- Beach clinches a playoff spot with a win over BC and a Windsor win over Savannah High or Jenkins.

*BC is the only team that controls its own destiny. However, Windsor is in the best spot to clinch a playoff birth. Depending on what happens this week, BC will be playing Groves with a win or go home scenario, or a win and host, lose and travel scenario. The Beach upset of Groves hurt BC more than helped with Beach having to win that game to keep its playoff hopes alive. Beach will be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss to BC, but will almost be guaranteed a spot with a win, even though they finish with Camden.

Basically, the biggest game in the area this week is by far and away, BC vs. Beach.
