I am surprised that Reggie Ball didn't make the list.
On the fan-voted team I don't think the earlier dawgs of the decade got near enough credit. It's a damn shame too.
Yeah Atkins did't even start most of his senior year. Sean Jones not getting the nod over Greg Blue is ridiculous. Jeff Owens had a good freshman year and then got gradually worse as his career progressed. Ellerbe had one good year and Asher Allen on there is just dumb.
By looking at the fan vote you would think we were better on defense from 2008 on then we were from '02-'05.

Owens/Atkins: no.
Ellerbe: Hell no.
Asher: No way.
Blue: No sir.
