The Rivalry:
- first played on February 20, 1892 at Piedmont Park in Atlanta
- Auburn leads the series 53-51-8
- UGA currently has a 3 game winning streak over the Tigers
- has been played 112 times, and currently tied for 7th for most played college football series.
- both teams have produced 2 Heisman trophy winners each, with each school producing a QB winner and RB winner: QB Frank Sinkwich (UGA) QB Pat Sullivan (AUB); RB Herschel Walker (UGA) and Bo Jackson (AUB)
- UGA holds the longest winning streak, winning 9 games between 1923 to 1931

- Erk Russell - legendary Defensive Coordinator under Dooley at UGA for 17 years. Head coach at Georgia Southern University, winning 3 national Championships. Earned his degree from Auburn and was the last 4 sports lettermen in Auburn history.
- Pat Dye - all American lineman at UGA. Head Coach at Auburn with 4 SEC titles to his credit
- Current UGA coaches Rodney Garner and Stacey Searels played at Auburn
