Steve Spurrier has suspended his starting quarterback, LaGrange's own Blake Mitchell, indefinitely following a fight with a bouncer in Columbia's Five Points.

I was thinking Smelley was a shoe in pick for starting QB going into this weekend regardless of Mitchell's fight. I guess Spurrier thought otherwise with starting Syvelle Newton. Who knows.
Yeah,I just fugured it was a foregone conclusion, since he played a good bit in the Georgia game.
